Notice to the Membership 520 Moose Lodge:

As we look forward to a new year, we should be exited with our are plans as a Lodge. It’s our mission and direction that we are to be involved in our community as we continue building the Moose Fraternal history; servicing the community locally and nationally. “Moving forward Giving Back” the words of Scott Hart our CEO of Moose International should be our goal going into 2026. Starting the first part of February we’ll by looking for the membership to provide supporting functions that benefit the community and the Moose Lodge. Chairman of the Board John Reiter coined a phrase “if your not part of the community, the community is not a part of you.” Remember the 2 reasons for the Lodge’s success; first is the friendliness of the Lodge, starting with existing members; and to bring in and include new members and our guests. Making sure all individuals feel welcome and valued. Second, is being active in the community; making our presence known.

Scott Hart made a point to remind us that we embark on new adventures every day involving the Lodge membership. Some on deadlines, others are someone's concern, and your Lodge board is here to service you. Part of this is we are looking to move our membership meetings to 6:00pm on first and third Tuesdays; giving you a better chance to be a part of the process. The membership vote will be held February 3rd at 6:00 pm.

Let us look forward to the coming year, we are going to have a number of events at the Lodge fundraising for various Lodge goals and community involvement. Watch for announcements and attend; be apart of the Lodge and our missions. Frank Vorhees, our past Territory Manager and now the National Director of Membership said “When we replace the words “have to” with “get”to” our perspective changes. I “get to” sign a member, go to a meeting, cook in the kitchen, or help with a fundraiser, it makes it a positive thing to do.” And remember, as Shawn Baile director of Moose Legion says “Do some good thing for someone each day”.
